Well, I'm back from Hawaii where I spent 8 days in the ocean and LOVING it...but my hair is not so happy! I tried the new ICON Transformational Infusion in my hair and it sprang back to life. Transformational Infusion is a hydrating 60 second treatment that doesn't need any heat. It has a wonderful texture to it which is a bit lighter weight than most deep penetrating treatments. This is a perfect treatment for that post summer hair. If you are the type of person that is always in a hurry and won't spend 20 minutes or longer doing a treatment on your hair...this is the treatment for you!
Lisa Power Salon received the Best Place for Color in October Allure magazine which I am still on cloud 9 about!!! Thank you for all of the wonderful response via email and facebook. Hurry and get your appointments booked through the holidays as our books fill up fast and with this write up...fortunately we will be even busier.
Thank you for all of your support!!!

We've been so busy
I promise to be a I promise to be a better blogger! So much has happened since this summer. I must say it's been a great year of sourcing new and exciting products and services. We launched the new Coppola Keratin Complex Smoothing System. We have had incredible success with this and our clients have had rave reviews. The general outcome is the hair is in better condition, it's shinier and my clients spend way less time smoothing it out. They are also able to get volume in the root area if they want which is a great point of difference from other traditional relaxers.
We also brought in a new line called Moroccanoil which is the best new treatment line I have found! There is an ingredient called aragon oil which is getting a lot of press(just google it) as a great, readily absorbable oil for the skin and hair. This oil is only found in the south of Morocco (hence the name) and is an ancient remedy. The serum is a leave in treatment and is amazing on any kind of dry or textured hair. It also has some silicone that gives incredible shine and it smells delicious. The line also has a smoothing lotion, a curling lotion and a deep conditioning treatment. You will have to check out Moroccanoil the next time you are in.
The gang is doing great. If you don't have your holiday appointment...hurry up! We are pretty busy through the holiday. Corina, my assistant, just finished her training and is now taking appointments. She is fantastic at foiling and great at classic cuts with a modern update. Please pass the word that she is available and help her build her clientele.
Thanks for reading my blog..I promise to do better!

My First Blog
Hi all, welcome to my very own, very first BLOG! I know it's a fright, Lisa and technology don't really mix but I"m trying! Ok, where to start. First of all, Lisa Power Salon just turned 2 on July 5th..so that's exciting! Thank you for all of your support to our lovely clients....for those of you that haven't been in....hurry up!
Next, I am happy to report that we had a very successful fund raiser for the Susan G Komen 3 day walk. Jeremy's sister, Stacy, is doing the walk this year in honor of their mother, Sydney(who is my friend and a cancer survivor) so the team at Lisa Power Salon worked all day on Sunday June 22nd and we raised $3,000. That was just 4 of us doing hair...so hopefully that motivates people to do something for someone else. It just goes to show what a difference a few people can make with a little bit of effort...ok and champagne!
Now, on to business...This week we are launching 2 new services. One is called Styling Coaching and the other is a new relaxer. Are you ready? Styling Coaching is a service for the stying impaired client who is tired of going home and unable to recreate the "look" at home. We will walk you through proper product selection and applications, brush and tool uses and coach you while you style your hair. That's right, we get paid to watch you work!
The new relaxer is super exciting! I feel that this is the new technology I've been waiting for (and I've been in this industry for a long time). It is called the Keratin Complex Hair Therapy Smoothing System by Coppola. Basically it is a way to smooth and relax the hair with NO DAMAGE! It lasts 3 - 5 months, makes the hair silky and shiny and not flat to your head straight. Depending on hair length, it will take 2 - 4 hours and cost $350 and up (depending on who you see). If you have frizzy, fuzzy, curly, damaged hair and you want it straighter and healthier, this is the treatment for you!!!! Yeah!
That's all for now, I will keep you posted..Things to come, trip to Vegas, trips to LA, trip to the Omak Stampede.
